Festivals are a big part of today’s culture. As a result, festival fashions are being seen more often in clubs, venues and even when walking down the street.

If you love the festival fashion look, there are plenty of ways you can incorporate it into your wardrobe, whether you plan to be festival-ing, or not. Here a few ideas.

Crotchet is a fashion statement that has infiltrated the festival world and is starting to dominate every day looks as well. It may be the sense of nostalgia that does it for us. After all, these pieces can look like something granny made, yet they are sexy at the same time.

Crotcheting is also a great way to bring in colors which are bigger this year than ever due to the psychedelic revival. After all, what is more inspirational to festival fashions than Woodstock?

Crotchets can appear anywhere, on bra tops, dresses, and even pants. You really can’t go wrong when you incorporate this look in your wardrobe.

Denim Shorts

Daisy Dukes have been around since, well at least since the first Dukes of Hazzard episode back in 1979, but the denim shorts look was popular way before then and I’m not sure if it ever went out of style.

Denim shorts are a festival favorite because they are easy to wear, you don’t have to worry about them getting messed up, they’re sexy, they go with everything and they are easy to sit down in. You can wear plain denim shorts, adorn them with rhinestones and patches, wear them long, short or however you please.

Bra Tops

Nothing shows off those belly button rings quite like a bra top. Easy and sexy, it is no wonder why these have become a big part of festival fashions.

Many girls like to bare it all wearing bra tops that don’t provide much coverage at all. But there are also short tops with a bit more material. These make for loose flowy looks that are perfect for paying tribute to the psychedelic era.

Long Flowing Dresses

Another great way to bring back the 60’s is to wear a long flowing dress. This type of dress will provide a Mother Earth vibe that can take you back to Woodstock.

To really make the most of this look, choose something made of a light, gauzy, material with plenty of colors. This will be perfect for creating the image you are going for.

No hippie look will be complete without an abundance of jewelry. However, you don’t want to overdo it. Jewelry can get uncomfortable after a long day of watching music. What’s more, it can easily become lost while you’re on the festival grounds.

To keep this from happening, try going for layered looks. Layered bracelets and necklaces will make it look like you are wearing several pieces, even if you are only wearing one or two. Fewer pieces mean more comfort and you are also less likely to lose a bunch of jewelry if you limit the pieces you are wearing.

Now that you know the latest festival fashions, which of these will you be wearing for your next outing?
